Welcome to "The Bayesian Bandit"

Welcome to "The Bayesian Bandit"! If you're reading this, I'm assuming it's because you're looking for ways to be more "data-driven". Well, you're in the right place. If you're looking for info about this blog, please refer to our about page.

In this post, we are merely giving you a warm-welcome to the site, as well as just a few pieces of advice as you go through your journey here at "The Bayesian Bandit". If I were a professional looking to become more data-driven or to learn about different data careers in different industries, I would do the following:

  1. Subscribe to our website: Subscribing to our site is free and will keep you notified on the latest stories we publish, especially with regard to our feature column, "Behind the Data".
  2. Do more research about the individuals we interview: If you're looking to get into a more data-driven career, learn from others. We provide a great look into how industry professionals work with data, but we don't cover everything. Learn more about these individuals and connect with them if you can!
  3. Implement your own versions of the analyses: We provide free analyses demonstrations so that people can get a good idea on how to analyze data in different situations. Just like the interviews, these are just good starting points, not the end product. We invite you to visit the associated github to view the code and implement your own versions of the analyses.

Our hope here at "The Bayesian Bandit" is that we become the industry standard resource for gaining insights into "data-driven" careers. More importantly, we hope that we become the go-to tool for you in your career as you develop into an industry-setting data leader.
